17th st. canal leaking into the city and causing more water rise

a barge has hit the high rise which has likely suffered structural damage


Even with all the dire predictions, I could not have imagined this.

Nagin is fantastic. Either he has some amazing coaches or he is just one hell of a polititian. He delivered some ominous news in that interview, and from the sounds of it, NOLA may be uninhabitable for quite a while. I'm dreading to think about what the worst case scenario might have been.

Wow. I've been through hurricanes in Florida but never seen anything like this. I feel obligated to help when the time is right. I encourage anyone to do the same. On a side note that interview was def. informative. I really had not a clue until I heard it from the man himself.
